Ramaco selects Sturgill for seat

Kentucky-based Ramaco Resources has picked Barkley Sturgill Jr. to serve as its senior vice president, general counsel and secretary.

Sturgill, who has been in the legal sector for more than three decades, will oversee all of the company’s legal and regulatory matters. He will be based from the miner’s executive office in Lexington.

Before coming to Ramaco, he was at Arch Resources, serving as its assistant general counsel for 14 years. Prior to Arch, Sturgill also served as chief legal counsel for the coal operations of The Brink’s Company and was senior corporate counsel for Massey Energy Company.
