Utah- and Indiana-based Turner Mining Group announced it has broken ground for a new tailings facility expansion project under a five-year contracting agreement with an unnamed customer.
The work, which commenced in March, is expected to continue through 2025.
The scope of the project includes a 1.5-mile primary access road relocation as well as an extensive piping system construction along with crushing, mass excavation and earthwork activities for a downstream embankment expansion. It will also perform reclamation work.
As the project is a seasonal operation, TMG will conduct its work between April and September over the coming five years.
